Ann Piché is a photo-based artist in Ottawa, Canada.

Working in STEM since the early 1990’s, Ann is the first female civilian member to work in the RCMP as an electronic technician. In this role she experienced the disconnect that can exist between science and the arts. Her practice constructs visual links to build those connections, creating accessible entry points for conversations about the less familiar.

Ann’s images have been juried into solo exhibitions in Canada and group shows in Canada, the United States and Scotland. A recipient of the City of Ottawa 2023 Creation and Production Fund, her work was part of the 2023 Toronto Art Fair curated collections. She has been published in North American magazines including SHOTS and PhotoED. Her work is held in private collections across Canada and the United States.

Ann’s work is not software generated. Working with digital and analog photography, she stages her images using real and constructed landscapes with custom built sets.  Incorporating light and motion in her work, she explores photographic abstraction and experimental camera techniques.

A graduate of the School of the Photographic Arts: Ottawa (SPAO) with recognition in lighting and integrity of vision, Ann has completed the artist residency at SPAO.
