beyond visible
Inspired by the launch of the James Webb Space telescope, this series explores the limits of perception by constructing photographic environments that exist just beyond our vision. Drawing on concepts from theoretical physics, including multidimensional space, rupture and unseen structures, intangible phenomena are translated into into visual form.
A dialogue about our desire to continually push boundaries, explore and find our place, the series employs photographic abstraction as a visual acknowledgement of the confusion we can feel when encountering the unfamiliar. The work is an entry point into that unknown.
